You told me once that you weren’t a hero. There were times I didn’t even think you were human. But let me tell you this: you were the best man, the most human… human being that I’ve ever known, and no one will ever convince me that you told me a lie. So there. I was so alone, and I owe you so much. But, please, there’s just one more thing, one more thing, one more miracle, Sherlock, for me. Don’t be… dead. Would you do that — just for me? Just stop it. Stop this.

10 Days of Sherlock

↳ Day Four - Favourite Episode of Series Two

actinoutloud:

Sherlock’s look is pretty crafty and calculating here. I think this is one of the few moments he let his act slip and showed that he was still in control, to an extent anyway. I mean, he still had to end up fake killing himself, but he was prepared, and Moriarty didn’t know that. Sherlock’s tears later were real, but you know somewhere in there, the logical and detached part of him was always present, always thinking, always observing.

MG: [It introduces] this dangerous concept that even maybe John Watson starts to doubt him. Which is kind of the worst thing you can imagine. It gets you in the gut, doesn’t it?

You need me or you’re nothing — because we’re just alike, you and I.

“Oh look, a sweet wrapper.”
“Let me just check to see whether they were poisoned or not.”
*Sniffs it*
“I can’t smell anything… I’ll taste it to see instea-“
“OH FUCK, yeah, ok, they were poisoned.”

Seriously though, if it’s one thing the Doctor and Sherlock have taught me, it’s that if I want to check whether something is lethal or not, I must taste it to find out.
